I think this dream was inspired by the real life auto parts store on LBI (Long Beach Island, NJ) that I remember from my childhood. That seemingly humble establishment pioneered South Jersey’s now legendary high-tech renaissance of the mid to late 1980s… by offering something called “VHS cassette tapes” for rental. Wayyyyy before Blockbuster or Netflix, you could stop by and stock up on their standard inventory of brake fluid, windshield wiper blades and pine-tree shaped cardboard air fresheners, and even rent a Hollywood movie that you could put into your tv!!!
