LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! (help?)
I’m producing and starring in a hilarious comedy short called THE SPIRIT SEEKER this March, and we’re in desperate need of a CHEAP (maybe even free?) location within 30 miles of LA in for the shoot. If you know of anything that could pass for a charming bed and breakfast-type place, please let me know asap! Thanks!
The Spirit Seeker is about a team of TV ghost hunters investigating an old Pennsylvania farm that’s been turned into a B&B. This short will skewer the ghost-hunting genre that seems to have taken over cable tv.
It stars Mary Birdsong (Reno 911, The Descendants) as Samantha Bell— the “Oprah of paranormal investigators”, Rachael Harris (The Hangover) & Jim Murray (Chaos and BBC’s Primeval) as “big city” husband & wife owners of a bed & breakfast they want investigated, and Steve Agee (The Sarah Silverman Program) as the cameraman and “tech guru” of the investigating team.
We’re shooting in the LA area in March (see attached photos for examples).
Here’s what we looking for:
EXTERIORS (We can shoot exteriors and interiors in separate locations if need be.)
1. Older farmhouse-style house with driveway.
2. Old barn.
3. Well.
4. Animal area - goats are preferred.
INTERIORS - we’re hoping to get MOST, if not all, of these.
1. Living room with cozy look, couch and chairs. Fireplace would be a plus.
2. Kitchen with table.
3. Dining room with table.
4. Small office.
5. Bedroom. Small and cozy is preferred.
6. Hallway.
7. Staircase.
8. Basement.
